It Has Been Too Long!

Hello my friends!
I have been gone for months. I've missed posting. So much has happened.
I sold my house in Lincoln AR and bought one in Siloam Springs AR.
It is much smaller but it's all we need at our age. Less to clean, heat, and cool!
It took us a couple of months to get to where we could feel a little less stressed with all the packing and unpacking. I don't think I will ever move again.
My sewing room is to a point where I can once again sew and play so I am setting goals for myself for October.
Another new thing is this computer. I've had to learn how to use windows 8. I still don't know how to post pictures because I need to know how to download them. It won't take my camera card so I think I have to buy an adapter of some kind. I will do that in the next couple of days.
That being said, I will come back here in a couple of days bright eyed and bushy tailed ready to post my goals for October and pictures!
Have a great day!

April UFO

For April I want to crochet another 3 snowflakes for my Blue Snowman quilt. It's quilted and needs to be bound and finish putting on the rest of the snowflakes.

Merry Merry Snowmen

Merry Merry Snowman top all finished. Needs to be quilted and embellished. Embellishments have been ordered from Bunny Hill Designs. That's where this pattern is from.

MARCH & APRIL UFOs & STUFF

Good morning! Gosh, it's been a while since I've been back to post! I've had a very busy March. My DH and I went to Arizona so see a house we thought we wanted to buy but it was a thumbs down once we really thought it through. Guess we will stay put for a while longer. I do have to find a one story house to move to. My hips just can't take much more of these stairs. My sewing rooms are upstairs and even after losing a significant amount of weight, I'm still really struggling with the stair climbing.
So with all of that said, I finished my Merry Merry Snowman quilt top! I will be hand quilting this one. It deserves it. I'm very pleased with the way it's looking.

More Accurate Post for UFOs

Ok....I'm trying again...This is the picture of the blocks I got done for the Merry Merry Snowmen. I got more than two done! I did make 2 sets of pillow cases for Christmas so that took care of the two gifts! One set is made with fabric with Corvettes on it for my husband and the other set is made from the new Wizard of Oz fabric that is a beautiful blue. The Oz characters are kind of different. Kind of Aesop type...know what I mean? Bought it from Nancy's Notions online.

These pillow cases are so much fun to make and so easy peasy!

January UFOs and Februarys UFOs

I haven't been able to post anything on my blog! I'm not sure what the problem has been so I am hoping that is is going to work. I finished all my projects for January and February and I am going to see if it will let me post the pictures. I got two blocks done for my Merry Merry Snowmen! Yea for me! I only have two left to finish this adorable quilt. Then I finished completely my Too Many Men snowman wall hanging! Quilted it myself! I also finished my OLD snowman quilt and it is at the quilters as I write. I hope I am remembering what I was supposed to do! Ok......now for the pictures....

2014 UFOs and Other Stuff

For the Last 3 years I have worked at finishing UFOs that had been on the shelf for years and I have succeded each month, except for the year my mom passed away.
I am very happy with the progress I have made. I was always using someone elses blog as an "answer to" way of staying honest and it felt good to report to someone other than my self. I thank Judy Laquidera for introducing me to getting UFOs done committments. She's a very talented and motivating lady.
This year I am doing on my own. I don't know how to post cutesy buttons on my blog yet. Maybe one day I will explore that subject but for now I'm keeping it simple and just posting each month here on my blog what I want to finish for each month.
In January I want to: 1. finish 2 blocks for my Merry Merry Snowman quilt, 2. finish my Too Many Men snowman quilt, get it quilted and bound maybe. 3, Get 2 Christmas gifts done for next Christmas.
So let's see how I do.

3RD DECEMBER UFO DONE!!!

This is my 3rd UFO for December! Another block for my Merry Merry Snowman quilt is finished. All but the eyes adn buttons on the scarf, ear muffs and door knob. I want to quilt this quilt before I add anymore embellishments. Still toying with the idea of just using french knots for eyes. We'll see.

DECEMBER UFOs

My 3 UFOs for December are the following:
I want to finish binding this snowman quilt.

I also want to add another block to my Merry Merry Snowen quilt top.
I will also try to put together the last row of my embroidered snowmen to get it ready to quilt. A picture of it has already been posted on my blog.
