2 August UFOs Done!

This is the Arkansas Razor back quilt I made as a donation to raise funds for our local Senior Center at the Apple Harvest Festival in October.
It is totally finished!
And this is Boo Hollow before I finished quilting it and binding it. That is done as well. It is at the County Fair and it won a blue ribbon! I was very excited about that.

These are embroidery patterns I got from Starwood Quilters blog. She shared one each month and it has been so much fun for me to wait for the next one! I have kept up with it and even put my first 6 together! Cute huh?
This month (July) she shared Decembers snowman so we got two! What a bonus! Thank you so much!

My New Best Buddy in My Sewing Room

I bought this "oldie but goodie" at a yard sale for 2 dollars. It is exactly what I had been looking for!
I am so tired of paying high prices for name brand irons only for them to go out on me within 2-3 years. I tried calling the company about repairs or replacing and they said they would be happy to repair the problem but it would cost me $89.00! The iron cost me $129.00 so it was't worth it to me to pay the cost of shipping and repair.
This one was made by General Electric and I'm not sure of the year.
Anyway, it works wonderful!

AUGUST UFOs

Gosh, this year is flying by!! Hard to believe it is August already!
These are my 3 projects for August.
I will make the last block for the Halloween wall hanging that was a BOM a couple of years ago (at least) from Pearl Louise Designs in SD.

I also want to finish this Arkansas Razorback quilt to sell and raise funds for the Senior Ceter in Lincoln, Arkansas

And my third UFO is to make at least one block for my Merry Merry Snowman quilt.
What do you think? Can I get them done? I'm sure gonna give it a heck of a try!
How about you all? What are your sewing plans for August? Any goals?

JULY UFOs FINISHED!

Good morning!
Well, I totally forgot to post my July UFOs! I don't know how it got away from me. But I did get them done! I planned to finish binding my Halloween quilt, Make another row for my Lori Holt "Row Along" and add another block to my Halloween wall hanging.

Bound Halloween Quilt

Butterfly row for Lori Holts Row Along

And last but not least are my two blocks for the Halloween Wall Hanging. The cat with the pumpkin and Cat on the fence.
I love these UFO projects! I love the feeling of getting them done, even if it's ever so slowly but I see progress and that is what counts for me.
I will be listing my projects for August here shortly.

May UFOs Done!

This is Tea Time blocks all sashed and ready to quilt. This was a real challange since none of the blocks were the same size. Lots of cutting an piecing. My beautiful friend Lovina Payton gave me these blocks a secret pal gift several years ago.

These are my embroidered Halloween blocks ready to be put together.

And this is my Strawberry Fields Forever quilt all nice and bound!

So once again, I finished 3 UFO committments for May.
I have 3 ready to go for June!

MAY UFOs TO BE COMPLETED......Hopefully!

Ok! Ready set, GO!!
These are the 3 UFOs I want to work on this month.
First is the sashing & borders for my Tea for Two blocks. I would like to get this quilt top done.

Second is to bind my Strawberry Fields Forever quilt. It's been a UFO way too long

and my 3rd UFO is my embroidered Halloween Blocks. I want to get them all cut to size and ready to add borders. Or at the very least get all the fabric cut for the blocks around the border.

Wish me luck! It's a tall order for me because I have a lot going on. No different from anyone else huh?
LOL!

APRIL UFOs DONE! WOOHOO!!!

Little Susan is done completely and so is Antique Toy Sewing Machines! I also picked my fabrics for my Tea for Two quilt top. Pictures may not be in order but they are here!
I really enjoyed quilting these myself. I have been broadening my free motion quilting and am no longer as scared as I was. They are so right when they say practice, practice, practice.

I will be using the blue for sashing and borders. The pink will be used as a accent border.

April UFOs

I am going to put my embroidered antique sewing machine blocks together. I embroidered the blocks years ago. Would love to have this completely done by months end but not sure how my surgery will go.
This next UFO is was a gift of blocks from my secret pal several years ago. I have no idea where she got them nor who made them. My secret pal was Lovina Payton. Wonderful lady.
I want to pick the fabric to sash with and the borders.
The 3rd UFO is four blocks I embroidered called Little Susan. I got the pattern from one of the quilt books a couple of years ago. I learned a valuable lesson with these blocks. You use crayons to color them with then embroider the blocks. I did it in reverse and I discovered I couldn't get up close to the lines. Live and learn. Still came out really cute. I want to have this little 36" X 36" table topper quilted.

That's plenty on my plate for April!
Let's see how well I do....

MARCH UFOs DONE!

I finished putting my Little Susan wall hanging. Just needs to be quilted. I think it is adorable. I learned a valuable lesson with this little wall hanging. When using crayons to color in the embroidery work, it has to be done before I embroider otherwise you can't color up to the lines!

This is Hanks birthday Family Album Quilt. I was so happy with the way it turned out as well.
He loved it.

I also finished my Blanket of Flowers quilt. It is quilted and bound and entered in a local quilt show and I forgot to take a picture of it completely finished. It is beautiful but you will have to just take my word for it till I get it back mid April when I will post a picture.
