Happy New Year!

Here's wishing you all a very happy and prosperous new year! 2012 came and went with a bang! Way too fast if you ask me....But, 2013 will be an even better year, I just know it!
I am so blessed and I thank God for everything and everyone in my life. We serve and awesome God. The same yesterday, today and tomorrow.

Once again, I have lined up UFOs to do in 2013. Carrie P http://apassionforapplique.blogspot.com/, has a UFO project going and very well worth following! If I read her post right, you sign up to do 3 in January and the other blog is Judy Laquidera at www.Patchworktimes.com  that is doing this as well. On Judys list you sign up to do 4 UFOs.  I love both these blogs and use them a lot. Sometimes I join in challanges, like this UFO Challenge, which will be different from 2012.  They can be small or big, whatever you think you can produce. Go check out their rules.
These are my 4 projects for December:
1. Square up Bunnyhill Snowman blocks
2. Add windmill to my Our Village quilt block
3. Add mail box to Our Village house block.
4. Applique tree top and mini quilts to Our Village
house block.
The Our Village quilt top has been in the making since 1993! Can't wait to see it done!

Another Major Job Finished!

We have been working on painting the front porch of our new home and it has taken us a couple of months because of the weather and because we tire easily in our old retired age! But this job has been well worth the hard work. I think next we will tackle the yard. I'd like some bushes. We planted 75 Bearded Iris bulbs and 100 Daffodils that vary in colors. Spring should tell us how we did!

The light color is a very pale peach and stands out more than this picture shows.

June UFO is DONE!!! Yeah!!

I am so happy to post that this UFO is done! It's called Minnesota Memories by Helen Thorn. Even quilted too! It's for my cousin Betty who was so helpful in organizing my sister Lupes funeral services 11 years ago and my moms services as well in November of 2010. Thank you Betty with all my heart.

Close up and personal. I was very pleased with the results of this quilt.

Well, by now you all know I didn't get my April UFO even started. Everything has be so hectic since we bought this new house. Things moved fast once we were approved and it took us old people a long time to get everything done. This is a picture of our new home. We love it. It is way out in the country. I'm still not unpacked totally but getting there. I'm just going to take my time. After all, tomorrow is another day....famous words huh?

This is my wonderful memory quilt made from blocks sent to me by my friends with QuiltedAngels internet group when my mama passed away. I'm not sure why I chose the black print borders other than it I thought it show cased the blocks. It trully is a work of love.
